Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Jääportit website and placing an order.

1. General

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Jääportit website (the “Site”) and your purchase of products from us. By accessing this Site and placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Product Information

Product Categories:

We offer a diverse range of products sourced through different methods:

  • Made-to-Order Products: Custom apparel, accessories, and home goods are produced on-demand through trusted print-on-demand partners. These items are created specifically for your order and are not held in inventory.
  • Physical Inventory: Select items including 3D printed products, vinyl records, band merchandise, and specialty items are stocked and fulfilled by us directly.

Product Accuracy:

We strive to display accurate product information, including colors, descriptions, and sizing. However:

  • Monitor settings may cause color variations
  • Made-to-order items may have slight variations from digital mockups
  • All measurements and specifications are approximate
  • We are not responsible for sizing errors made by the customer

2.5 Band Merchandise & Physical Products

Direct from Jääportit:

Certain items in our shop are original Jääportit band merchandise distributed directly from the band’s own stock, including:

  • Vinyl records and physical albums
  • Limited edition items
  • Band-exclusive merchandise

By purchasing these items, you directly support the work of Jääportit.

Special Offer – Album Downloads:

When you order a physical copy of our album, you will receive a download code to access a high-quality digital copy of the album for free from our Bandcamp page.

  • The download code will be included with your shipment or sent via email
  • If you purchased an album but did not receive your download code, please contact us at jaaportit@gmail.com
  • Codes remain valid and can be redeemed at any time

3. Ordering and Pricing

Order Acceptance:

  • All orders are subject to acceptance and availability
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order
  • Prices are in EUR and include VAT where applicable

Order Cancellation:

  • Made-to-Order Products: Orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun (typically within 24 hours of order placement)
  • Physical Inventory Products: Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours if they haven’t shipped yet
  • Bank Transfer Orders: Orders can be cancelled any time before payment is received and confirmed
  • Contact us immediately at jaaportit@gmail.com if you need to make changes

Pricing:

  • Prices are subject to change without notice
  • The price charged will be the price displayed at checkout
  • We are not responsible for pricing errors; orders with incorrect pricing may be cancelled

4. Payment

We accept the following payment methods:

Credit/Debit Cards & PayPal:

  • We offer secure online ordering via PayPal and major credit cards
  • Payment is processed at the time of order
  • Shipping costs will be automatically added to the total sum of the order
  • All transactions are encrypted and secure using PayPal technology

Note: By providing payment information, you confirm you are authorized to use the payment method.

5. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping Costs:

Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on:

  • Your delivery location
  • Weight and size of your order
  • Selected shipping method

Regional Pricing:

  • Finland (domestic): Lower shipping rates
  • Europe/International: Standard international rates apply

All orders include tracking information when available.

Processing Times:

  • Made-to-Order Products (custom printed apparel, accessories): 5-7 business days for production, plus shipping time
  • Physical Inventory Products (vinyl records, 3D prints, band merchandise): 3-5 business days from payment confirmation, plus shipping time

Note for Bank Transfer Orders: Processing begins only after payment clears our account (typically 2-5 business days for bank transfers).

Shipping Methods:

  • All parcels are shipped via registered/tracked mail when available
  • International orders are sent by registered airmail
  • Delivery times vary based on destination and customs processing
  • We are not responsible for carrier delays or customs processing times

Item Condition:

All items are in mint/new condition prior to packing and shipping, unless otherwise noted in the product description.

Shipping Address Responsibility:

You are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

We cannot be held responsible for:

  • Packages lost or damaged during shipment by the carrier
  • Non-delivery due to incorrect address provided by customer
  • Unclaimed packages at post office or delivery points
  • Customer not available to receive delivery
  • Packages refused or returned by customer

Once an order has been shipped, it is in the hands of the postal system and your local postal service.

Address Errors: If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address you provided, reshipping will require payment of additional shipping fees. We are not responsible for orders that cannot be delivered due to incorrect information provided at checkout.

International Orders:

  • Customs duties, taxes, and import fees are the customer’s responsibility
  • Delivery times may vary due to customs processing
  • We are not responsible for customs delays or additional fees charged by your country
  • Some products may have shipping restrictions to certain countries

Tracking & Delivery Confirmation:

  • Tracking information will be emailed to you when your order ships
  • Please allow the estimated delivery timeframe before contacting us about delays
  • If tracking shows no movement for an extended period past the estimated delivery date, contact us at jaaportit@gmail.com

6. Intellectual Property

Our Designs:

All designs, artwork, logos, band imagery, and content on this Site are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute our designs
  • Use our intellectual property for commercial purposes without written permission
  • Reproduce or distribute Jääportit’s music, artwork, or branding

Customer Responsibility:

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You own or have permission to use any custom designs submitted
  • Your designs do not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights
  • You will not use our services to create infringing products

We reserve the right to refuse orders that may violate intellectual property rights.

7. Returns and Refunds

Please refer to our separate Refund and Returns Policy for complete information. In summary:

  • Damaged or defective items: Refund or replacement within 30 days
  • Made-to-order products: No returns for buyer’s remorse or sizing errors
  • Physical inventory: Returns accepted within 14 days if unused and in original condition
  • Custom/personalized items: Non-returnable unless defective
  • Vinyl records: Non-returnable once opened or played

8. Product Quality

Made-to-Order Products:

Our print-on-demand partners follow strict quality control procedures. However, as these items are custom-made:

  • Minor variations in print placement or color may occur
  • We will replace items with significant quality issues
  • Please report issues within 30 days of delivery

Physical Inventory Products:

  • Items are inspected before shipping
  • 3D printed products may have minor layer lines or imperfections inherent to the manufacturing process
  • Vinyl records are tested for defects before dispatch
  • All band merchandise is checked for quality prior to packing

9. Digital Content & Download Codes

Album Download Codes:

  • Download codes are provided as a complimentary addition to physical album purchases
  • Codes are single-use and cannot be replaced if lost or shared
  • We are not responsible for technical issues with third-party platforms (e.g., Bandcamp)
  • Download codes do not expire but may become unavailable if the album is removed from our Bandcamp page

Missing Download Codes:

If you did not receive your download code within 7 business days of delivery, contact us at jaaportit@gmail.com with your order number.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Jääportit is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the product in question
  • We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free website operation
  • We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during shipment by postal carriers
  • We are not liable for customs fees, import duties, or taxes on international orders

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

  • We collect information necessary to process orders
  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties
  • Payment information is processed securely through encrypted channels

13. Product Availability

  • Made-to-order products are generally always available for production
  • Physical inventory items (vinyl records, band merchandise) are subject to availability
  • Limited edition items may sell out and not be restocked
  • We reserve the right to discontinue products at any time
  • “Out of stock” items will be marked clearly on the Site

14. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Strikes or labor disputes
  • Supplier or manufacturing delays
  • Shipping carrier disruptions
  • Postal service delays
  • Government actions or regulations
  • Pandemics or public health emergencies

15. Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland
  • Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Finland

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on the Site. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
